What a week at Farfield – Headteacher’s blog

It has been an amazing week at Farfield! On Tuesday the school celebrated World Maths Day and combined this with Syrian refugee fund-raising and penguins! Children dressed as penguins were in school from 8am playing Mathletics for sponsorship and then there were lessons and assemblies around the book 365 Penguins. We have already raised over £1000 and the sponsorship element hasn’t even finished yet. Many thanks for all your support and a big ‘well done’ to the school council, Mrs Fisher and Mrs Lambert for all their work with this – good citizens indeed!

Other highlights this week included the first competitive football matches of the season and Year 1’s visits to Denso Nature Reserve. Denso is proving to be a valuable partnership – it is a great place to visit, and the guide, Steve, is fantastic!
