U11 football team into Falkingham Cup semi finals
On Friday afternoon, our U11 9-a-side football team travelled to Roundhay Primary School for their Falkingham cup quarter final.
It was an intense game on quite a small and bumpy pitch. The team put a huge amount of effort into the game against strong opponents (two of whom, at least, play for Bradford City). We came out winners 4-1 with LJ scoring 3 and Sumayyah scoring (again). We are now into the semi-finals of this city-wide competition. The whole team played very well: defending strongly and playing good passing football as best they could on such a difficult pitch. (I hope the children realise how lucky they are to have such a lovely pitch and goals to play on at our school.) I was really pleased that we had 3 girls in our team whereas the other team were all boys.
