This week in Nursery

This week in Nursery

What a busy week! This week we have been rehearsing for our Christmas Nativity production. The children are singing well and have practised going on and off the stage. Please remember your child will be performing on the days they usually attend Nursery.

Stable

We turned our new role play area into the stable in Bethlehem. We added costumes for a donkey, camel, Mary and Joseph and the Kings. The children have had great fun dressing up (and struggling to get into the costumes!) They have been reading stories about Christmas. They also made crowns for the Kings to wear.

Christmas trees

Today we got out our Christmas trees and the children got involved in putting them together. We have a main class tree and then one in the Home Corner for the children to decorate and re-decorate!

Stay and Stick

Don’t forget that next week you are invited to ‘Stay and Stick’ with your child. The sessions are on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.45 until 9.30am. You will be able to make a card or decoration with your child as well as seeing the Nursery environment. We have not set up a booking system for these sessions so hopefully not everyone will come at once!

We’re going on a bear hunt

We are continuing to read our story and this week the children have demonstrated how well the know it by joining in with the author. Here is one of the clips we have been using with the children. Can they join in at home? How well do you know the story?

Write Dance

We found a new dance this week and the children asked if it could go on the blog so they could share it at home.

Lots of other fun!

As usual the children have been very busy this week. Here are just some of the things they have been doing…

Have a lovely weekend and wrap up well from the Nursery team
