Our tricky word this week is ‘we‘. Can your child say this word in a sentence?
We learnt the phoneme/graphemes ‘v‘ and ‘w‘. Can you use your phonic flash cards to make words that have ‘v’ and ‘w’ in?
Maths
We have continued our learning about whole and parts. This week the children have investigated how to find parts of a whole group. We tried splitting a group of children into 2 parts. We also built towers to split groups into 2 parts.
RE
In RE this week, we have been talking about what some families celebrate at Christmas – the birth of Jesus. We have shared photos of when we were a baby and talked about what we did then and what we can do now.
The Super Star Nativity
We hope you all enjoyed our nativity. We were very proud of all the children.
RP trip to Abbey House Museum
RP had a fantastic visit to Abbey House Museum. They have enjoyed dressing up and making Christmas crafts. They also received a present from Santa! Thank you to the parents who helped out on the trip.
Reception Party
We are looking forward to our party next Wednesday. Please don’t send in too much food as they will have had their school dinner.
