One more week to go!

One more week to go!

Good afternoon parents and carers,

We have had another extremely busy week in Year 5.

The first dress rehearsal for the play went well and we are looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning next week for our play of Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits. Here are a few of photos of us dressed up to give you a sneaky preview. The children have really enjoyed it so far and we definitely have some budding actors in Year 5 this year!

Other than rehearsing we have been bust completing our end of term assessments.

Children will be pleased to note that there is now no more homework to go out! So if they can return homework by Wednesday we will keep their books.

We are not planning on having a Christmas party this year but instead are hoping to watch the movie Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. This is the film based on the book that we have been reading in English. The film is a PG and you should have recieved a letter today asking if you are happy for your child to watch it. We will have some popcorn and treats whilst watching this on the last Thursday or Friday of term.

We hope you enjoy the weekend,

The Year 5 team.
