Nursery – 08.11.2024

We have had a very busy first week back.

New book

This half term we are reading ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. When children hear the same book multiple times, they become familiar and comfortable with a greater number of words. Hearing stories read aloud also helps children become aware of the pattern and rhythm of the text.

Can your child join in with the story? What can they remember?

Dough Disco

We discussed Dough Disco with you during parents’ evening. I have added a couple of links below for you to enjoy at home. It will help strengthen the children’s fine motor muscles to enable them to develop their pencil grip and control.

Fireworks

This week lots of the children have been interested in fireworks. We discussed fire safety, acted out being a firework, and created some amazing artwork.

Wow!

We had a real treat on Friday. Mrs Galbraith decided to conduct an experiment using Mentos and Cola. It was amazing…

Everything else

Have a lovely weekend,

The Nursery Team
