Headteacher’s blog 4th October 2019

This week I have spent some considerable time showing candidates for Deputy Headship and prospective new families around the school. For one parent it was a nostalgic tour as she had left our school 21 years ago; she recognised Mrs Fulton and Mrs Wilson and said that they look just the same – I think that they should take that as a compliment!

This week has also been sporty, with first matches of the season for our girls’ and our U11 football teams. Furthermore, on Friday twelve of our fastest Y5 runners had the privilege of competing in a city-wide duathlon at the wonderful Brownlee Centre. They ran 750m, cycled 2.5km and then ran again for 350m, scoring combined team times. We await the results, but whatever the outcome, it was a fantastic experience and they gave it their all.
