Headteacher blog January 12th 2024
It is great to be back after the Christmas and New Year break.
On Monday we had a Teacher Training Day. Amongst other things, we had some updated training on the best use of Mathletics. This was unexpected as we had, reluctantly, dropped that very expensive subscription just before the holidays but we had an unexpected boost when we were given free membership – and reactivated accounts – thanks to our former colleague Jane Fisher who now has a senior role in the parent company. We are suddenly now an ‘advocate school’ so we better use it well! Mathletics had a relaunch in school on Tuesday, along with Reading Eggspress and Fast Phonics. We are grateful for the support. A good routine of a ‘little and often’ would be beneficial for most children.
