Firstly, we would like to wish all our Muslim families ‘Happy Eid.’

Today, Year 2 welcomed families in to school to their MacMillan Coffee Morning, which featured their home-made honey biscuits made with honey from our own school bees. Earlier in the week, Year 6 classes spent the day at the wonderful Blackhills Woods for a day of shelter building: sunshine and showers is wonderful weather for that activity! We have had the year’s first PTA meeting and they have an exciting range of events planned for the year – we need plenty of volunteers to do their little bit please! Arms were twisted, and there will be another Camp – Over next year: get June 18th-19th in your diary.

Finally, our thoughts and condolences go to the Islamic community after the very sad and tragic loss of life amongst Hajj pilgrims yesterday.
