Farsley Farfield Primary School

It has been a fabulous week at Farfield, with lots of exciting events.

Year 1 have been to Rodley Nature Reserve: one very wet day and one gloriously sunny. It is wonderful to have this oasis of nature on our doorstep. Today they have also enjoyed ‘Sam’s Safari’, bringing exotic animals into school.  Half of Year 2 have been to a skipping festival and a Y2 class enjoyed an interesting visit to a mosque.

A team of brilliant Y5 Farfield mathematicians attended a maths competition at the Leeds Grammar School and were runners-up out of 20 schools. They have won a class trip to a new attraction in Leeds Trinity called Maths City. Eight tuneful and confident Y5 children also spent the day at Leeds Arena before performing in a spectacular concert alongside 700 other young people in front of an audience of thousands. The concert was brilliant and spectacular: a great showcase for music education across our city.
