Eid Mubarak for all our Muslim families!

We have had a very positive first week of term. This is usually a great few months of the year: lots of learning, trips and residentials, enjoyable events such as Sports Day and Camp-Over and a chance to show off our progress in statutory and other assessments. Usually, all the children have the run of the grounds in the summer term for a wide range of play opportunities including tennis and cricket in these warmer, drier months. We also hope that Ofsted will visit us soon.

I asked our parents and carers if they could kindly give Ofsted some ‘Parent View’ feedback prior to the inspection. More than 170 people have now responded and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive:

Thank you for your support. I hope that we can identify the very small minority of families reporting unhappiness/dissatisfaction and work together to improve matters.

Sadly, the next few school weeks will be disrupted by bank holidays and more strike action. I really hope that the teachers’ dispute can be resolved soon as no one likes going on strike and it is detrimental to all those involved and affected.
