Our school is fortunate to have friends like Tom and Helen and their colleagues at Barclays Bank. Once again, a team from the bank have spent a day on site carrying out great work up on the school farm. Having also secured a chunk of funding, the volunteers replaced a set of compost bins, installed a new irrigation system, made improvements around the fruit cage and, most impressively, established new pathways around the main area of raised beds.
This week, we got the team results of the children at the Y5 duathlon last Friday. We thought that they had done well, but we hadn’t expected them to be first and second out of 37 teams. All that running practice seems to have paid dividends! Well done to all of them.
