What a lovely week we have had! We had three super sports days on Wednesday and towards the end of the week, Year 5 have had two glorious trips to Malham in the Yorkshire Dales, including some cooling splashing around in Gordale Scar.

On Tuesday we got our Y6 SATs results. They are arguably the best we have ever achieved across many measures. Some of the headline scores are sensational: 71% at Expected levels across all of reading, writing and maths, an astonishing 58% Greater Depth in reading and 40% in maths. Even where some of the children didn’t quite reach these levels, progress from their previous Y2 assessments has been strong. These figures are way, way above national averages. Congratulations to all the children and staff, and thank you to families for support at home. Our children are very well-prepared for high school.

This weekend we have our camp-over: bigger than ever before with more tents (80?) and over 700 on site on a scorching day. It’s going to be quite an event!
