Head teacher blog February 24th 2017
Our ethos statements this week included the line: ‘I can say how I feel.’ It is important that children are able to understand their feelings and emotions and feel confident in expressing them. If I was to be asked how I feel, I would reply that I have felt proud this week of the work and achievements of our children and staff and proud of the broad curriculum that we are able to deliver. It was great to see the pride and success of children that were ‘graduating’ from a new maths intervention in Year 2 called ‘1st Class @ Number’ that has been expertly delivered by Mrs Kenny. Yesterday afternoon, the children shared some maths games that they had created with their peers and it was fantastic to see their progress and confidence.
