Head teacher blog 7/11/2014
It has been an inspiring week at Farfield, with a visit to the school by former pupil Nile Wilson. Nile has had a phenomenal year in gymnastics, progressing from being a Junior champion to Commonwealth Gold and appearing in the World Championships in China. Nile did an assembly that linked all our ethos statements to his success and then visited classes. Many children got to handle some of Nile’s many medals and we were all very proud of him.
After the half term, children have been quickly back to work; the school is full of ‘Great Learners’. 4GK enjoyed a very informative trip to Skelton Grange where they took part in workshops around circuits and electricity. A group of Y5/6 children began a course of ‘bouldering’ in PE at The Depot and the governing body of the school had its autumn meeting.
