Head teacher blog 3rd July
This week the children all met their new teachers for September and the Y6 children went to their new high schools for Transition Day. We were delighted that our new teachers Abigail Bradley and Ruby Cuthbert were both able to be with us this week and spend time with staff and children. I am sure that they will both be excellent additions to the team. Next week we are recruiting a number of new classroom assistants, predominantly to work with some of our children with additional needs. On Monday, all of Year 5 enjoyed a day out in Malham during which we discovered the source of Leeds’ river Aire, splashed around Gordale Scar, practised our map reading, watched a spectacular flying display by adult and juvenile peregrine falcons and stepped carefully along the limestone pavement. 3C also had a lovely day at RHS Harlow Carr Gardens near Harrogate – shame they got a puncture on the way home!
