It has been a proud week for the school as former pupil Nile Wilson has been nominated for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award. We wish him the best of luck with this – what a year he has had! I was also proud of the whole school community as we gathered around our fantastic new school banner for the Farsley Lights Parade on Wednesday evening. It has been a remarkable week for a less positive reason too as attendance has been amongst the worst ever as a sickness bug has wreaked havoc in one class in particular and about 10% of the school has been absent – twice the normal level. Let’s hope children (and staff) get well soon and we are back to normal next week. Despite this, class 3D had a fantastic trip to the Magna museum in South Yorkshire and our annual review visit from the LEA confirmed, again, that we are a ‘good’ school.
