Head teacher blog 23/1

The children have enjoyed the snowy conditions this week and we have tried our best to keep everyone safe walking around the site. The icy conditions meant that we have had to rearrange a Y2 trip to York, but 6W were still able to enjoy a visit to Leeds Art Gallery this morning. Our athletes have been training for the next round of their city-wide competition and the Y5/6 rugby players were still out there in the snow on Tuesday afternoon! Determination and resilience are important personal qualities that we try to foster here at Farfield.  This week we also ran a parent survey about blogging and the feedback from families was overwhelmingly positive. The effort from my staff that goes into these blogs really is outstanding and they are an important educational resource that can really benefit your child’s learning. Next week, we have parent meetings after school to promote the blogs further and answer any parent queries.
