Head teacher blog 20th March

It has been a long and busy week. It was fantastic to see so many families this week at our Parents’ Evenings and the consultations were overwhelmingly  positive. Parents seemed to appreciate the additional efforts our teachers put in to the mid-year reports and to all the other provision at school. Thank you for all the lovely comments on the report return slips.

This week we also had two trips to Rodley Nature Reserve by 2F and 2H; the sun shone and the children enjoyed discovering (again) this local treasure! Our football team triumphed as champions in the area football league on Tuesday night whilst our Year 4 tennis team also recently won their latest tournament. Next week, our Y4 girls, Y5 boys, Y5 girls, Y6 boys and Y6 girls all represent Leeds in the cross country element of the West Yorkshire Winter Youth Games at a local university. Sport is alive and well at Farfield!
