And so we end another academic year at Farfield…  It has been a successful year with good academic progress and outcomes and lots of successes across the school. There have been challenges too.

On Wednesday we had a fantastic Leavers’ Show that was superbly personalised for and by our children. What shone out was the confidence of the whole cohort and the warmth with which they recalled their time with us. There were a few ‘out of the mouths of babes…’ moments for us to reflect on! This morning we had our Leavers’ Assembly: a bit of a marathon as we had lots of staff to say goodbye to, seven year groups’ memories to celebrate and ‘trillions’ of certificates to award. Year 6 have been a very strong cohort and, on the whole, excellent role models for the younger children. They move on with our very best wishes, as do a number of colleagues moving on to exciting new chapters in their personal and professional lives.

It’s a shame that the last children’s day has been so wet. We thank everyone for their support and hard work again this year and we hope everyone has a super, sunny Summer break.
