Camp-Over – Friday deadline

Camp-Over – Friday deadline

It looks like the Camp-Over on 20th June is set to eclipse last year’s event in terms of numbers attending. Already well over 60 families are staying the night and we have sold lots of day tickets too. There will be a ceilidh band, Bird of Prey display and lots of other attractions. Hopefully, the event will be as relaxed as last year, when the children entertained themselves for hours and parents had a great time too!  We have booked some sunshine…

Saturday 20th June will be a ‘Ticket Only’ event.  If you haven’t sent in your application for camping tickets yet, the deadline is this Wednesday. Please find the forms attached or get them from either school front desk.  It is important to note that Wednesday is also the deadline for family day tickets; we need to know numbers to comply with licensing and plan food and drink. The breakfast price list for the campers and the terms and conditions of the camping will be sent out next week.

It is really important that we have lots of volunteers: the more we get, the less time each of us has to do! The event can’t run without volunteers so please do contact Diane Walton (diane.walton@farsleyfarfield.org.uk) if you can offer an hour or so at any point over the weekend.

One of the activities will be den-building. We have sourced some den-making materials already, thanks to Mr Dalton, but would welcome any more that anyone could provide: old sheets or tarps; clothes pegs or other materials (not too heavy) that children could use to make dens. Perhaps you are in the building trade and have some safe waste materials that could be of use?
