Nursery Blog – 23.10.26

Phonics

We have continued to explore the pattern of rhyme by using objects to create a series of rhyming words.

Word Aware

This week, we focused on the words “between” and “big.”

Maths

We have continued the pattern theme during our maths sessions. We used cubes to create a repeating AB pattern.

Everything else

This week has continued to be a bit spooky in our classroom! The children have started a PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) scheme that will run throughout the year. We began by exploring the theme of self-identity and reading the story “Me, Myself & I.” Earlier in the week, we had some fun getting messy while making a jelly potion. Later in the week, we transformed into pirates for an exciting treasure hunt! We also had lots of fun in the hall.

Have a great week off.
