Greek Day and Night and Day

The highlight of this week was obviously Greek Day! The children’s outfits looked fantastic and we had so much fun throughout the day! Some of the activities included, making grape juice, eating a variety of Greek food, playing a game of grandmothers footsteps to try and steal food, marching, performing a Greek play in Athens and making Greek vases out of clay; What a busy day!

In Science 5K learned about how day and night happened. We now should know that day and night happen due to the Earth spinning in it’s axis which repeats every 24 hours.

Next week we will be holding auditions for the Christmas Year 5 play. Children have been given a script and should learn the lines of Aladdin if they want a large or medium part in the play.

Have a great weekedn,
