Maths
During our maths sessions, we focused on the concept of ‘same’. The children examined groups of objects to determine if they were ‘the same’. They enjoyed the class game so much that they continued playing it during their choosing time!

This week, we focused on the concepts of ‘now’ (the present) and ‘then’ (the past). We discussed toys and compared our current selves to our baby selves, which the children really enjoyed. The children showed a strong interest in dinosaurs throughout the week. We brought out the larger dinosaur toys to play with, watched a fact video about dinosaurs and fossils, and examined some real fossils. We also created autumn-themed pictures by rubbing crayons over leaves, got a bit messy, visited the conservation area, and played on the castle and slide play area.
