Florence Nightingale Workshop

On Monday we really enjoyed meeting Florence Nightingale. She told us all about her life. We enjoyed a teddy hospital activity and then looked at some objects that Florence would have used in Scutari Hospital.

English

We have really enjoyed planning and writing our stories this week. First we acted out the story. In our story we felt poorly and our fun Grandma gave us some medicine. It took us on a flying adventure! The problem was that we couldn’t get down. The children had some great ideas and worked really hard on writing their stories.

Spelling

This week we have looked at words ending ey such as money, monkey, valley and trolley.

Maths

We have finished our Money topic this week. We have focused on solving calculations with money and giving change. Use this game to practise!

PE

2MW had lots of fun balancing on the equipment this week.

Music

We have been learning a song called Rainbows in music. This week we added a musical accompaniment with the glockenspiels!
