Year 6 11/7/2025 – The Final Countdown

Another wonderful – and warm – week in Year 6. We kicked off our penultimate week in Year 6 getting our SATS results and were blown away by the utterly incredible scores. What a brilliant set of children we have! In the words of Mr Harris they are ‘sensational’ results and we are very proud of each and every one of you all.

Mr Harris wrote a little about them here if you have not already seen his blog.

Stealing lunch

Our DT unit culminated this week in the design and construction of some alarmed lunchboxes. Children worked together in groups to create a lunchbox which would alert the user that a thief was trying to take their treats. They also tried to create a box which would appeal to children through its aesthetic design. We used our knowledge of circuits to try and create open circuits which would close when the boxes were open – this was very tricky but we did manage it!

Tickets for the end of year performance have gone on sale this week. They will be available for purchase until 6pm Sunday 13th July. On Monday we will email out if there are any spare seats available and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

We hope to see you at camp-over tomorrow – it looks set to be a scorcher!

Have a lovely weekend.
