Phonics

This week’s tricky word is ‘to.’ Can your child say it in a sentence? The children have also learnt the phonemes/ graphemes for m, d and g. We have found objects beginning with these phonemes and practised sounding out and blending words with them in too.

Maths

This week, the children have explored how numbers can be composed of 1s and have begun to investigate the composition of 3 and 4. They have done lots of practical tasks inside and outside.

Understanding of the World

We have been talking about our homes – what they look like and where they are. We used Google Earth to look at how different our homes are. The children shared which is their favourite room. They all drew a picture of their home.

Music

This week we had fun using the claves. We learnt a new song called ‘Choppity Chop’.
