In phonics this week our tricky word is said. Can your child say this word in a sentence?
We have also learnt the phoneme/ grapheme or like in fork and ur like in turn.
Maths
We have had lots of fun with 3D shapes this week. The children have enjoyed learning their names and their properties. What facts can they remember?
They have enjoyed building with the shapes and going on a shape hunt.
We have also enjoyed singing some 3D shape songs.
Tropical World
The children had a super time visiting Tropical World. They enjoyed helping Mango the Meerkat find his family whilst learning about different countries along the way. They also enjoyed going on a scavenger hunt in Roundhay Park and seeing lots of different animals in Tropical World.

Spring Event
We are looking forward to our Spring event on Wednesday 27th March from 9am-10am. Parents and grandparents are all welcome. You will need to wear wellington boots or walking boots as the grounds are very muddy! After you have dropped your child off at their classroom please make your way to the top playground. Please wait near the yellow wooden house and Mrs Kumar will then explain how the event will work.
