Oliver asked us to visit the school farm and harvest some vegetables to make delicious vegetable soup. We picked vegetables from the farm and then prepared them using our peeling and cutting skills. We then cooked and blended our ingredients together.

Science
After our visit to the farm we looked at the vegetables we had harvested as well as some of the vegetables that Oliver had left us. We discussed how vegetables grow and then sorted them into vegetables that grow above the ground and vegetables that grow below the ground.

Reading and Phonics in Year 1
Your child will come home with a letter inviting you to attend a meeting on Wednesday 18th October 2023. During the meeting we will be discussing the Year 1 Phonic Screening Check and how to support your child with reading and phonics at home.
