The children did chat in their tents until very late last night, some after midnight, and one tent was awake again at 4.15am thanks, perhaps, to a local cockerel. After a staff visit, they did go back to sleep, but most tents were well awake by 6.30am. The countryside is noisy, but don’t believe the children’s tall tales of wolves and other screeching creatures.
It has been a glorious sunny day but we have kept cool with lots of activities in the gorge. We have limited the number of photos in this post, but lots more photos and videos are in this drive. There are some lovely ‘portrait-style’ photos.

Group 1 did gorge scrambling in the morning and caving in the afternoon. Mrs Dobkin was incredibly impressed with both Amrit and Jas for completing the abseil despite being nervous – in fact all children got down to the gorge in record time and had an excellent scramble. Alfie, Mason, Parminder and Sophia displayed great teamwork in supporting each other down the slides and through the pools. Caving was a challenge for the children but Aaryan lead the pack and completed one of the harder caves with aplomb.
