Headteacher’s blog 30th March 2023

We have got to the end of a long term that has been punctuated by very regrettable strike action and even a bit of a snow day. Sadly, there could be more strike action to come after a very disappointing offer from the government this week that has left us all deflated and feeling under-valued again. Despite the disruption, particularly to the Early Years and Juniors, we have had another very successful term and children have seemed happy and engaged at school. We very much look forward to warmer, drier weather in the summer term when there are so many more exciting things to come.

One thing that didn’t come this term was Ofsted. We are very much expecting them as it is now over 5 years since we were last visited. We want them to come: expecting a positive report and validation of our work. Let’s hope that they do arrive in the next few months: but not on either of our residential weeks or during Y6 SATs!

Have a great Easter break!
