Farsley Farfield Primary School

Headteacher blog 5/12/14

It has been an enjoyable week at Farfield and we can feel that Christmas is coming! For me, Christmas begins with the annual Town Hall Concert in Leeds. Once again, I was very proud of the Farfield children in the 300-strong choir singing with the Leeds Youth Orchestra. Every year, it is a really special night.  Also this week, all 50 of our nursery children went on their first ‘school trip’ down to Sunnybank Mills, Year 1 visited the church for Christingle and RC have been to the Abbey House Museum.  On Tuesday, our athletes competed in the next round of the indoor athletics competition and they have now qualified for the finals at Carnegie in January.

It was an amazing night at the Town Hall. Our children made me very proud. Thank you to Mackenzie, Ben, Hannah, Niamh, Georgia, Ella, Lucy and Omaymaa. And also a big thank you to Mrs Hawkhead.
