Farsley Farfield Primary School

Head teacher blog 30th January

We have had another wintery week at Farfield. The children seem to be still enjoying it, but the adults will be happy to see it all melt!  Nursery were still able to go on their visit to Abbey House, but 2F’s trip to York was postponed. Our athletics team did their best in the athletics finals at Carnegie but came up against some very fast and very strong competition! On Friday, we had a tricky ‘No Technology Day’; the idea came from some children to raise money for the Tong Len charity in India that Mrs Fisher and Mrs Carney are to visit in February. Many thanks for all the sponsorship!

Kai was very grumpy when he realised he had no Xbox, tv or tablet to use. He used his no technology time well and looked through his memory box. This has things in it from when he was born till now. He looked at photos, old school reports and awards that he has received. He enjoyed looking at this. Then we played board games – word search, guess the letter and photoloco. We had a fun evening.
