Head teacher blog 18th July 2014
It has been a lovely final full week of the school year at Farfield. The weather has been amazing and the school grounds look fantastic this year – well done Mr Carr! On Tuesday, Year 2 had a fabulous day out at Bridlington and the photos of so many smiling faces were wonderful. On Thursday we had very successful Sports Days for the infants and for the juniors including some exciting new events: tug of war and ‘duathlon’ races combining cycling and running (we couldn’t manage swimming as well!). On Thursday evening, Year 6 put on a fabulous Leavers’ Show that the audience clearly enjoyed. We have some talented actors and singers in that cohort and I hope that many of them continue with drama and music in high school. This week we also published the end of year reports; the vast majority detailed good progress and positive personal and social development. If that wasn’t the case, the school is committed to working hard with the children and their families to turn things around next year.
