A great start to the new school year

I am not just saying this: it is great to see all the staff and children back at school and it is a delight to welcome some new colleagues and pupils to Farfield. We have had a terrific start to the new school year and the children seem very happy in their new classes. At the end of last term, the 204 returns from our Parent Survey suggested that 99.5% of our children are very (72%) or quite (27.5%) happy at school; that is great, but let’s hope it can be 100% this academic year.

Mrs Kathryn Lace has joined us as our new assistant headteacher from Pudsey Greenside Primary School. Based in Y2, Mrs Lace will work alongside our other assistant headteacher, Mr Cooke, to ensure the smooth running and further improvement of the school. She is a very experienced, skilled and talented infant practitioner and we are very pleased and excited to have secured her services.
